Living Your Dream

As 2013 comes to an end, it’s a good time to reflect for the day and move on! We’ve all had our ups and downs in the past year but you cannot dwell on your problems without hindering your movement forward.

If you need some time to grieve, reflect or just have a day on the couch, take that time. I always suggest give yourself the time you need and then when that time is up, don’t dwell on the past. I have a perfect example to share. About a month ago I had a business venture that fell through. I gave myself 8 hours to sit on the couch, eat my chocolate, and feel horrible. However about 3 hours in to my day of reflection, I decided all I could do was move forward. So I got off the couch and started working on my next project. I understand not everything will work out like we would like them but I’m a firm believer situations work out how they are supposed to end up. It also gave me time to remember all of my blessings and all of the great people I had the honor of meeting and getting to know this year.

My 2014 goal is to believe, pursue and live my dreams. I hope you all have something you are passionate about that keeps you driven. If you want people to believe in you, you must start believing in yourself! If you have a dream, why not pursue it? The difference between people who only dream and those who succeed is an action verb…so get out there and do it! Life is too short so appreciate what you have and don’t be afraid to build your future.
